Siam Commercial Bank supports Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s 100-year Lumpini Park redevelopment project

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has launched a redevelopment project to commemorate the centenary of Lumpini Park, Thailand’s first public park, established in 1925 on royal land given to the Thai people by King Vajiravudh (King Rama VI). The goal is to transform the park into a destination that provides equitable access to basic well-being and a high quality of life for everyone, whether to exercise or simply relax. The project will be carried out in collaboration with the international, governmental, educational, civil society, public and private sectors, with the area being redesigned to integrate social, cultural and environmental concerns while protecting the environment.

Lumpini Park will continue to fulfill King Rama VI’s purpose of “pleasing the people and beautifying the city”. The project was inaugurated by the governor of Bangkok Pol. General Aswin Kwanmuang, who presided over the opening ceremony at Sala Bhiombhakdi, Lumpini Park alongside members of the international diplomatic corps, BMA leaders and representatives of cooperation network organizations. Siam Commercial Bank was represented by CSR Senior Executive Vice President Araya Phuphanich.

SCB played a role in the improvement and development of Lumpini Park and was responsible for the early learning area, supporting the construction of a balance bike park for children aged 2-5 to promote their health and physical development, while increasing emotional intelligence. , unity and stronger relationships between family members and communities.
